Requirements

 

In order to connect to the SBUMC Wi-Fi network, you will need a Windows / Macintosh notebook or PDA / Smartphone with a Wi-Fi compliant wireless card. The following table may be used as a guide although SBUMC makes no guarantees of compatibility due to numerous types of computers, hardware components, operating systems, and wireless cards. Please check with your computer manufacturer and wireless card manufacturer for compatibility: (See Note)

NOTE: If your laptop or PDA did not come with a built-in 802.11b/g wireless card or if you haven't used an add-on wireless card on it yet, please be advised that it is your responsibility to ensure that any wireless card you intend to purchase is compatible with your laptop or PDA. SBUMC provides this table purely as a guide and does not make any guarantees on hardware/software compatibility with your device. Check with your computer manufacturer and wireless card manufacturer for compatibility.

Notes:

  1. SBUMC reserves the right to monitor Wi-Fi activity, filter content, and otherwise control or prohibit usage. Please read the terms and conditions for details on the acceptance of wireless internet access acceptable use agreement.

  2. Please secure all valuables, including notebooks and PDAs, at all times. SBUMC cannot be responsible for loss or damage to these items.
