| Welcome The New York State Center for Sudden Infant Death is now the Sudden Infant and Child Death (SICD) Resource Center.
As the Sudden Infant and Child Death (SICD) Resource Center, we will continue over thirty years of efforts to improve infant and child health and safety throughout New York State. We remain committed to supporting families, professionals and communities affected by the sudden unexpected death of an infant or young child.
The SICD Resource Center is sponsored by the School of Social Welfare at Stony Brook University with funding from the New York State Department of Health. From our statewide office in Stony Brook and Regional Offices in Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany and New York City, we are leading infant health and safety initiatives, partnering with professionals and communities, and working to protect and prolong the lives of New York’s infants and children.
