Think Tank for African American Progress –Long Island
The Center for Public Health and Health Policy Research cordially invites you to participate in a regional convening entitled "Think Tank for African American Progress -Long island". The Think Tank is a solution-focused national convening of multi-disciplinary researchers, community activists, policymakers, and thought leaders to discuss solutions and strategies to implement solutions for challenges confronting African American communities in education/youth development, health, economic and community development, and Technology (S.T.E.M.).
The
Think Tank for African American Progress Long Island will be held from
April 22 to April 24, 2010 – seeks solutions to challenges confronting
Black girls. We are inviting scholars, activists, and advocates to join
us for the 2010 Think Tank as we address the question “What is the
Future for Black Girls?”. Practitioners,community activists, and
researchers whose efforts are related to the following thematic areas
are especially invited to submit a solutions’ proposal abstract :
(1)Health
(2)Community/Economic Development.
