Teaching and supervision at the affiliated institutions are provided by the site Supervisors-of-Training, many of whom are graduates of the residency program. Most medical faculty and site Supervisors-of-Training are board certified in preventive medicine and have many additional years of experience in the field. In addition, a large multidisciplinary faculty, drawn both from the Health Sciences Center at Stony Brook and from the affiliated agencies, makes a substantial contribution to the training program.
