The Division of Nephrology offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient treatment for children with elevated blood pressures, proteinuria, hematuria, renal failure, congenital kidney abnormalities, kidney stones, and metabolic kidney diseases. This includes evaluation, specialized testing, education, and ongoing care, such as the provision of dialysis and kidney transplantation as treatment for chronic kidney failure.
Facilities are available for the care of acute and chronic renal failure, and we offer hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, training and support of home dialysis.
Inpatient consultation services are also available at Good Samaritan Hospital, Winthrop University Hospital and Nassau University Medical Center.
