The Division of Nephrology at Stony Brook University Medical Center provides comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for the entire range of disorders of the kidney and urinary tract from birth to 21 years of age.
We are particularly well-known for its expertise in the evaluation and treatment of children with acute and chronic glomerulonephritis and nephrotic syndrome. We provide acute hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and CVVH/D.
In cooperation with surgical subspecialists, we coordinate an active renal transplant program and we are deeply committed to a comprehensive post-transplant patient care program.
We have a busy clinical and academic setting with potential for basic science research and clinical research. We have a major interest in clinical trials including hypertension, various renal diseases, and renal failure associated diseases.
