The Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Stony Brook University Medical Center provides both inpatient and outpatient evaluation and care for children, adolescents, and young adults with hematologic and oncologic disorders. We provide services for chemotherapy and transfusion needs, autologous and cord blood stem cell (“bone marrow”) transplantation, care of patients with sickle cell disease, thalassemia and other hemoglobinopathies, and care of patients with bleeding disorders are provided.
We provide the most modern, effective therapy for children by a team of specialists to deliver personalized care in a healing environment that promotes the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of children and their families.
