Research Interests

 

Current research interests of the Division include:

  • Regulation of protein synthesis
  • Techniques of anthropometry
  • GLP1 in offspring of Type 2 diabetes mellitus
  • Role of thiazolidinedione therapy Type 1 diabetes mellitus
  • Effect of IGF-1 therapy in Cystic Fibrosis

Stony Brook University Medical Center has a NIH funded General Clinical Research Center which provides support for clinical research projects.   These include:

  • nursing services
  • laboratory support
  • radiology support
  • nutrition services
