The cultural diversity of the patients we treat speaks to the need for residency programs to diversify their faculty and residency staff.

One of the central goals of the Pediatric Resideny Program is to create an atmosphere where various cultural and ethnic backgrounds among patients, staff, and housestaff are not only recognized, but respected, understood, and embraced. The diversity of the people with which residents will interact offers an unparalleled opportunity for learning the health care needs, disparities, and common concerns among the members of our society.
