Visitation Policy
Visits from family and friends are welcome and can be helpful to a patient’s recovery. We ask that visitors abide by the following guidelines. It is recommended, however, that visitors check at the nursing station at specific units for information about visiting in each unit.
Update:
Temporary Restriction Lifted
Since the prevalence of H1N1 influenza in our community is currently subsiding, we are lifting the restrictions that were temporarily put into place concerning the age of children permitted to visit inpatients at the Hospital.
Change in Age for Children Visiting Inpatients
Children between the ages of 12 and 17 years, when accompanied by a parent or guardian, may visit Hospital inpatients, subject to the hours and other general guidelines in effect in specific units.
General Guidelines:
- Visitors with colds or experiencing flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat), or with any contagious disease should not visit hospitalized patients.
- Visitors must pick up a pass at the Information Desk in the Main Lobby before visiting patient floors.
- Only two visitors are allowed in the room at one time.
- Visitors should maintain a quiet environment and avoid unnecessary noise.
- Smoking is not permitted in the Medical Center.
