FACULTY RECRUITMENT: DR. MING WU

I am happy to announce that Dr. Ming Wu has joined the Department of Pathology as an Assistant Professor and Chief of the Renal Pathology Service, effective December 2010.

Dr. Wu is a graduate of Hunan Medical University. She completed her residency in Anatomic Pathology at the University of Buffalo School of Medicine and Biological Sciences in 2006 and her Fellowship in Renal Pathology/Electron Microscopy at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2008. Dr. Wu was recruited from NephroPath (Nephropathology Associates) in Little Rock Arkansas, which is one of the nation's largest dedicated Renal Pathology diagnostic laboratories.

Dr. Wu will serve as the Chief of Renal Pathology and will also participate in the general surgical pathology diagnostic services at Stony Brook Medicine. In addition, she will have important roles in training residents in pathology, as well as the renal medicine service, and she will develop a translational research program in renal pathology.
