Clinical Practice:
Dr. Singh is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology (1997) and holds a post graduation degree in Pathology (1984 India). She is a general surgical pathologist and cytopathologist with subspecialty expertise in breast and gynecologic pathology and is a member of the multidisciplinary teams for breast and gynecologic cancers. She has a special interest in early neoplastic/ premalignant lesions. She has an active leadership role in Quality Management in Anatomic Pathology.
Research Summary:
Dr. Singh’s research focus is the application of novel and established biomarkers for breast and gynecologic cancers and preneoplastic lesions. She has developed rat models for prevention of mammary cancers and early neoplastic mammary lesions. She uses her skills in biomarker research to help elucidate unanswered clinical questions in breast and gynecologic cancers and is a member of the Gynecologic Oncology Group.
Teaching:
Dr. Singh is active in medical student, resident and fellow education. She has developed courses for gross, breast and gynecologic pathology. Her online atlases are offered as educational tools and have been accessed both by students and teachers across the globe. She has established and conducted CME conferences for peer education.
