Laser Treatment for Glaucoma
- Laser treatment for glaucoma includes iridotomy for angle-closure glaucoma and trabeculoplasty for open-angle glaucoma.
- Both procedures are without discomfort and are performed on an out-patient basis. They are performed under topical anesthesia. Common side effects include transient blurred vision, red eye, and post-laser pressure spikes. In most cases, the laser takes 5-10 minutes to perform.
