Stroke Support Group

The Stroke Support Group is open to all Stroke survivors, their families and care givers.  Our regular meetings are every last Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm to 8:00pm held in the Neurology Clinic which is located at 179 Belle Mead Road, East Setuaket, New York.  At every meeting there is a speaker presenting different topics which were choosen by members of the Stroke Support Group.  The speakers come to us from multi-disciplines within the Stony Brook Medical Center whose expertise are related to Stroke, its management, treatment, and recovery.  Speakers include physicians, nurse practictioners, physical therapists, occupational therapists, social workers, psychologists, speech therapists, and registered nurses.

The purpose of our Stroke Support Group is to create a forum of education regarding stroke,  its risk factors, signs and symptoms and prevention.  Our hope is to create an environment where everyone can interact and share your mutual challenges and triumphs.

Refreshments are served.  For further inquires, please call Antonieta Rosenberg at 631-444-3467, or Joanne Clyde at 631-444-2903.
