Biographical Sketch:

Dr. Smiroldo is an Associate Professor of Neurology. She has special interest in the areas of neurorehabilitation, multiple sclerosis and pain management.

After completing a Neurorehabilitation Fellowship at SUNY Stony Brook, Dr. Smiroldo joined the Neurology faculty at Stony Brook. She has expertise in the area of Multiple Sclerosis. Her background in neurorehabilitation and pain management, give her unique qualifications as an attending neurologist in Multiple Sclerosis.

Presently Dr. Smiroldo is an Attending Neurologist at the Northport VA Medical Center. There, she treats general neurologic conditions such as Parkinson's disease, cognitive dysfunction, back pain, headache and neuropathy in the veteran population.

Dr. Smiroldo is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Society of Neurorehabilitation.
