Neurology Faculty Appointment
Adult Neurologist
Description:
The Department of Neurology at SUNY Stony Brook, has multiple positions available for Adult Neurologists. The Department has accredited training programs in neurology, child neurology, clinical neurophysiology and vascular neurology, and joins with several other departments within the framework of the Stony Brook Neurosciences Institute to provide a wide range of clinical and research programs. We offer our faculty an opportunity to combine a rich and enabling professional environment with gracious and affordable living, convenient to NYC. Stony Brook University Hospital is the only academic medical center and Level 1 trauma center in Suffolk County (population 1.5 million), located on Long Island's scenic north shore within a highly-ranked school district (Three Village Central).
Given broad institutional plans to further strengthen an already strong neurosciences faculty community, Neurology is currently in a position to recruit both physician-investigators, and clinician-educators. Candidates with subspecialty interests in movement disorders, behavioral neurology, neurodegenerative diseases, and stroke are particularly invited to apply, but all backgrounds can be considered. Underrepresented minority candidates are especially welcome.
