April Plank, DNP.  April is one of the board-certified advanced practice nurses who works in collaboration with the physicians in the Lung Cancer Evaluation Center. She will see you at your consult, perform a history and physical, review your case with the appropriate doctors, and assist in developing the plan of your care. If surgery is part of the plan, she will assist you in setting up a date for your surgery and pre-operative evaluation (pre-admission testing), and will manage your follow-up care. She also works with patients who are part of our nodule follow-up or post-resection protocol. April also coordinates our monthly support group.
