Thomas Bilfinger, MD, co-director, Lung Cancer Evaluation Center; chief, thoracic surgery. Dr. Bilfinger is a board-certified thoracic surgeon with a special interest in performing surgery to diagnosis and treat lung cancer. The operations he performs include pneumonectomy, lobectomy, minimally-invasive VATS (video-assisted thoracic surgery) lobectomy, wedge resection, thoracoscopy, and mediastinoscopy. Dr. Bilfinger, along with Dr. Moore, performs radiofrequency ablation and cryoablation of early-stage lung cancer tumors for patients who are not considered good candidates for surgery.
