Conference and Travel

POLICY: CONFERENCE AND TRAVEL

PURPOSE:

To establish the importance of conference and travel as part of the medical education program experience within the institution.

POLICY:

The program directors of the individual training programs within this institution will dictate the policy for conference and travel for their trainees based on their educational needs, and the needs of the service within the hospital, while staying within the guidelines established by the RRC's of the ACGME within their specialty. The GMEC will monitor this policy through annual review of the program and regular internal reviews.
