Melina LoGuidice - Khwaja, M.D., FACEP

Dr. Khwaja has recently been awarded a grant to investigate the effects an ED based pharmacy consult has on medication debulking in the elderly and on reducing potential adverse drug events. She was elected Suffolk County's EMS Physician of the Year for 2003. In the past she has served as the Medical Director for the Stony Brook Volunteer Ambulance Corp for several years. Dr. Khwaja has also been a part of other research endeavors such as a nasal packing comparison study and a study designing a computer program to help detect medical error in the ED.
