Dr. Fischer joined the faculty in 1999. He began his Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of Chicago and completed it at Stony Brook in 1998. Dr. Fischer developed and continues to direct the Emergency Ultrasound curriculum for our department. He has also been actively involved as a member of the New York Region Otitis Media Project Committee, a group of specialists convened by the New York State Department of Health whose purpose is to try and find ways to promote more judicious use of antibiotics for the treatment of Acute Otitis Media. |
