RESIDENT RESEARCH PRESENTATIONS


Patient Care

Clinical care for Dermatology patients is provided at the Tech Park Clinical site (631 444-4200), as well as the Veterans Administration Medical Center at Northport. Clinical specialties include atopic Dermatitis, allergic contact Dermatitis, alopecia areata, cutaneous allergies, autoimmune blistering diseases, cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, eczema, pemphigus, pemphigoid, phototherapy, psoriasis, skin cancer, and wound healing.

Teaching
The department has an active teaching program for both medical students, and Dermatology residents. Primary teaching sites include the Tech Park Clinical site, and the VAMC at Northport.

Research
Our Faculty is active in both clinical and basic research. Pharmacology research, including trials of new medications, is conducted at the Tech Park Clinical site. Areas of expertise in basic research include autoimmune diseases of the skin, angiogenesis, keratinocyte biology and molecular biology, tissue engineering, and wound healing.
