| Free Oral Cancer Screening Thursday, April 15 from 9:30am - 6:00pm a Free Oral Cancer Screening will be held at the School of Dental Medicine on South Campus. The exam is quick and painless. Free dental products are available to those who participate. Each year approximately 30,000 Americans are diagnosed with oral cancer and more than 8,000 die of their disease. Early diagnosis is essential, so come by to be screened today. No appointment is necessary and all are welcome. For more information call 632-8974. | Dr. Allan Kucine will be the recipient of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Stephen H. Leeper Award for Teaching Excellence at the ADEA Conference in March. The goal of the award is to recognize individuals who have demonstrated vision and contributed significantly to the advancement of dental education. Specifically, the award recognizes individuals who have implemented original and creative methods of educating and engaging students, faculty, and administrators. This award is used to illustrate models of outstanding dental education, thus challenging others to strive for excellence and innovation in dental education. |
