Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

• Describe patient, physician, and office system barriers to the delivery of preventive services.

• Assess the readiness for change within their own office systems.

• Assess their current office systems with regard to opportunities for the provision of preventive services.

• Develop and implement a preventive care protocol based on current screening guidelines.

• Increase appropriate delivery of routine clinical preventive services through enhanced office system efficiency.

• Build an office atmosphere that encourages an active patient role in preventive care.

• Explain how to evaluate and refine their own preventive services delivery systems.
