Grandparent Information and Support Groups

These monthly meetings are for grandparents of children on the autism spectrum.  The meetings generally feature a speaker or particular topic for discussion.  All are welcome; please join us to meet other grandparents, share your experiences, and learn ways to help your grandchildren.

Grandparent support groups will resume in September, from 10:00 - 11:30 am, at the Cody Center, 5 Medical Drive, Port Jefferson Station. There is no charge, but pre-registration is required.  Please email shirley.woodward@stonybrook.edu or phone 631-632-3127.

New East End Grandparent Group Forming

A new group for grandparents of children with autism and related disorders is being formed on the East End. Meetings will be once a month, on Tuesdays from 10 to 11:30 am. The group will meet at the Child Development Center of the Hamptons on Stephen Hands Path in Easthampton. It will be co-led by Arlene Coulter and Judy Greenberg, both grandparents of children on the autism spectrum.
