Stony Brook University Medical Center (SBUMC) is a 540-bed tertiary care academic medical center located 50 miles from Manhattan in Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.  The Medical Center unites Stony Brook University Hospital with Stony Brook University School of Medicine to concurrently provide quality patient care along side dynamic education and training for medical students.  Adding the University's Health Sciences Center, with cutting-edge research and schools for dental, allied, nursing, and other healthcare professionals, results in the achievement of a premier, world-class healthcare environment.
