Neurologic disease and disorders pose a significant health burden on the residents of
Suffolk County. Hundreds of people who survive these diseases and disorders struggle to recover from their debilitating impact. Stony Brook University Medical Center is the regional leader in diagnosing and treating the full range of neurologic disorders including stroke, aneurysms, spine problems, birth defects, traumatic injuries, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy and tumors.
